Job Title:
Record to Report Lead
JOB PURPOSE
- Fulfill all the Planning and Reporting requirements of CIL accurately and timely and provide answers to their ad hoc questions.
- Serve the company’s needs for management information regarding financial information and relevant non-financial data, with the purpose of giving insight in the company’s performance and support management decisions.
- Co-ordinate the planning cycle SAP 3YP for the entire company.
- Guide & coach the Financial Analyst and delegate relevant parts of the job to this person
- Lead ad hoc projects with regard to training, IT, Heilite and CIL alignment mappings or other.
CONTEXT
Oversees the process of the monthly financial close, consolidation, and reporting; finalize close position; consolidation and financial reporting (incl. CIL) and accounting policy compliance and expertise
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Planning & Reporting Activities to Heineken et al
Provide the reports that Heineken requires accurately and before the set deadlines. Organize and co-ordinate the necessary inputs from other divisions / departments/locations ensure that the given data is timely and accurate.
Serve the company’s need for Management Information
Ensure timely and accurate reporting on all financial and relevant non-financial information with regard to the performance of the company. Improve existing reports and initiate new reports with the purpose of supporting and guiding management optimally. Collect and store country information.
Planning Cycle / SAP 3-year Plan and 10-Year Outlook
Organize and co-ordinate the entire 3-Year-Plan and 10 –Year Outlook process for the whole company. Ensure timely delivery of accurate and complete bottom-up plan.
Guide & coach the Financial Analyst
Guide and coach the Financial Analyst, and ensure optimal performance and realization of the potential.
Lead ad hoc projects with regard to training, IT, Heilite and CIL mappings
- Provide training “Finance for non-Finance” to non-Finance managers
- Lead ad hoc project teams aimed at investigating certain issues.
- Lead ad hoc project teams aimed at improving certain situations (raw material mapping in Navision, etc.)
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics;
- 3-5 years experience within industry and finance
- CPA certification
- Strong financial and accounting knowledge.
- Experience in reporting activities.
- Excellent leadership and coaching abilities.
- Proficiency in using financial systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English, Kinyarwanda. French is an added advantage
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Be able to work in multi-cultural, multi-national and multi-lingual organization
- Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Time Management and Organizational Skills
- High level of commitment and working with minimal supervision

JOB PURPOSE
The Data & Analytics Lead is an agent for change, promoting the development of a data driven culture, increasing data literacy across the OpCo and advancing D&A maturity in order to drive growth and productivity
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Leveraging Data for Impact
• Develop the OpCo roadmap for data and analytics aligned to regional and global strategy, and drive implementation at OpCo level.
• D&A Business partner to key stakeholder OpCo functions such as sales, e-business, finance, marketing, supply chain, shared services.
• Identification of opportunities to leverage data and ask the right Business Questions, translating business demands/requirements into clear analytics use cases.
• Partner and co-develop effective, efficient D&A solutions (e.g., Adv Analytics use cases) with Regional and Global teams.
• Prioritize and manage the D&A initiatives ensuring effective implementation by business decision makers which delivers optimal value to the OpCo and adherence to global standards
Data at our Fingertips
• Coordinate the development and deployment of efficient and effective Data Management strategies delivering consistent high standards of data governance, quality and availability, ensuring adherence to Global data standards and policies.
• Coordinate and facilitate deployment of D&A technology and tooling in the OpCo.
• Ensure continuous improvement to and optimum efficiency in D&A processes and practices.
Data & Analytics Capability
• Evangelist for Data & Analytics across the OpCo promoting a data driven / data informed organizational culture
• Prioritize and lead initiatives, including upskilling, competency building and change management, to develop D&A Maturity and improve Data Literacy across OpCo.
• Represent OpCo at regional level providing input to D&A strategy and roadmaps development.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technological field
- Relevant certifications, e.g., Data analytics professional certificate, SAS Statistics business analyst professional certificate, PowerBI data analyst associate…
- Working knowledge of data management, descriptive analytics, advanced analytics and industry trends
- Deep business knowledge and ability to identify opportunities to add business value
- Experience managing teams and projects
- Effective communication with business and IT stakeholders
- Basic ability to build quantitative models
- Agile project management
- Budget and capacity management
