Aim and Benefits of 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Program
- The first phase of the programme kicked off in December 2023 with 30,000 fellows selected across all 36 states and the FCT. The fellows went through an intense learning journey that included self-paced online courses and physical applied learning sessions, executed in partnership with 120+ organizations.
- The second phase of the programme will train 270,00 technical talents in three cohorts of 60,000, 90,000 and 120,000 respectively. The 3MTT programme is executed in collaboration with hundreds of applied learning clusters, state governments, development agencies and other key stakeholders.
Requirements for 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Program Qualification
For the first phase, we will focus on these twelve (12) technical skills:
- AI / Machine Learning

- UI/UX Design
- Data Analysis & Visualization
- Data Science
- DevOps
- Game Development
- Product Management
- Quality Assurance
- Software Development
- Cybersecurity
NB: The average length of the courses being offered in this phase will be three (3) months.
The fellowship programme is open to everyone. We encourage trainings to also share the fellowship within their communities and networks.
There will be an entry assessment to determine the skill benchmark for each applicant. This will also be used in selecting the most applicable course for fellows.
The training is hybrid, meaning that it combines online and in-person components. While the majority of the training can be done remotely, there are aspects that will require in-person training.
Organisations who do not own a physical facility can apply for consideration. However, they will be required to have access to a physical facility where required.
