Renewable Energies Senior Engineer at Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA), Deadline Feb 3, 2025

Job responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor the implementation of renewable energy projects throughout the project cycle • Develop a pipeline of viable projects, utilizing renewable energy technologies to generate clean power and cost savings for customers • Spearhead the provision of policy advisory services on Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency • Assist in developing renewable energy policy and strategy including scenario development and economic analysis • Support program implementation and provide other relevant capacity development such as the identification and development of training activities as well as mentorship to selected officials • Provide expert policy advice and strategic direction to management and stakeholders on matters relating to scaling up the deployment of renewable energy technologies in Rwanda • Review and evaluate proposed projects for technical and financial merits and adherence to program requirements • Manage contracts for approved projects to ensure program goals are achieved • Provide technical assistance and training to efficiency program staff and contractors • Assist with preparation of progress reports and presentations to Management and various stakeholders • Any other duties assigned by the Management
